Cokey Nguyen

Dr. Cokey Nguyen is President and CEO of Atara Biotherapeutics, bringing extensive expertise in cell therapy, oncology, and drug discovery. Previously Atara’s Chief Scientific Officer, he led the development of next-generation allogeneic cell therapies for cancer and autoimmune diseases. Earlier, Dr. Nguyen held senior R&D roles at Fate Therapeutics and Pfizer, where he advanced innovative immunotherapies including bispecific antibodies. His scientific expertise spans tumor metabolism, molecular biology, iPSC and immune effector cell technologies, with numerous patents and publications. Dr. Nguyen holds a PhD in Immunology from Washington University in St. Louis.
