BCA is the nation’s largest blood supply network, providing over 50 percent of the blood and blood components in U.S. This national organization is comprised of over 60 independent community blood centers with a deep local commitment to the communities and patients they serve. The BCA network encompasses over 500 collection and testing sites, across 43 states. In addition to meeting the transfusion needs of the communities they serve, BCA members provide human blood products, custom collections, MNC-A leukopaks, cell processing, testing, cryopreservation, storage, distribution and other services to the therapeutic, diagnostic and cell therapy industries. The BCA Network includes over 400 apheresis collection devices across the U.S. supporting 30,000 annual healthy donor and patient cell therapy collections. This includes autologous, allogeneic and therapeutic apheresis collections. Collectively BCA’s members interact with nearly three million individual blood donors annually in addition to thousands of patients by providing collection services in hospital and blood centers’ facilities.
