Oklahoma Blood Institute
Our Blood Institute (OBI) is a nonprofit blood provider serving communities across Oklahoma, Arkansas and Texas. Founded in Oklahoma City nearly 50 years ago, OBI has grown into the seventh-largest independent blood center in the United States, operating 17 donor centers and supporting more than 280 hospitals, medical facilities and air ambulances. In Oklahoma, OBI provides more than 95% of the state’s blood supply. Beyond ensuring a secure blood supply, OBI advances transfusion medicine through research, innovative technology solutions and collaboration with healthcare and research partners, helping to address evolving patient and clinical needs.
